These certifications establish the annual base revenue amount for the MBTA for the following fiscal year and estimate the dedicated sales tax revenue for the current fiscal year to be credited to the MBTA.
The MBTA is to receive the greater of either the base revenue or the dedicated sales tax revenue. These certifications are made in consultation with the Department of Revenue.
